Mobile Healthcare Facilities’ 53′ (16M) Mobile ER and Wellness Center is a good solution for military preparedness, disaster medical services, and oil companies drilling and producing oil from remotely located oil fields. It is a specially designed treatment facility that can be used for oil field and battlefield casualties and as a wellness clinic to maintain the health of your employees or soldiers.

This facility is our largest combination ER, Patient Recovery, and General Medical Facility.  Its design is perfect for providing physicals, basic medical treatment and handling traumatic accidents.  It is built on a 53′ (16M) Double Expandable Trailer with up to 1100 ft2 (102 M2) of internal space.

The emergency room is located directly inside this mobile medical unit.  The emergency room is able to handle patients, who are in need of immediate medical care, as a result of trauma or other life-threatening conditions. This ER is only designed to stabilize the patient before transferring them to surgery or intensive care.  Stabilizing a severely injured patient is critical before transporting them to a hospital.  A fully stabilized person has a much higher chance of living.

In addition to the emergency room capability of this facility, it can also provide preventative and immediate basic care with a wide range of conditions from the mundane to complex. Therefore, the oil field workers, disaster casualty, or soldier does not have to leave the scene to get this basic medical treatment.  For oil field workers, staying on the job increases their productivity and reduces direct labor costs by keeping the employees on the job.

This facility is based on a double expandable, heavy-duty trailer chassis.  The facility consists of: 1) emergency room; 2) emergency shower; 3) nurses’ station; 4) patient intensive care/recovery area (with five (5) patient rooms); 5) general medicine examination room; 6) soiled utility room; and 7) a clean utility room.   A Lavatory facility is also available as an option.

Being mobile, this unit can easily be moved from one location to another as required.  It can be set up and struck within eight (8) hours, by a crew of only eight (8) people.

Most oil field accidents result in oil contamination and injuries to the employee. Therefore, this unit also has a decontamination shower to remove the contamination before medical treatment.  The emergency shower is located just inside the emergency entrance.  This prevents the spread of contamination to the rest of the mobile hospital.

Having a trauma facility at the scene of a traumatic oil field accident, natural disaster, or battlefield site can be the difference between either saving or losing a person’s life or limbs. Time is of the essence when a serious injury occurs. Most oil fields are remotely located from brick and mortar trauma treatment centers an hour or more away (even by helicopter). The time lost by this transportation is critical for a critically injured employee or soldier!

This medical facility has the following recommended and optional medical and office equipment:

  • Crash Cart (1)
  • Nurses’ Station (1)
  • Patient Beds (5)
  • Herman Miller Cabinets (14)
  • Emergency Shower (1)
  • Patient Monitors (6)
  • ER Stretcher (1)
  • Doctor’s Stools (2)
  • Medical Gas Station (O2, Medial Air, and Vacuum) (6)
  • Hazardous Waste Container (7)
  • Ultrasonic Cleaner (1)
  • Sinks
  • Autoclave (1)
  • Welch Allen Diagnostic Wall Unit (1)
  • Exam Table (1)

This trauma and general medicine unit is perfect for oil companies drilling and producing oil from remotely located oil fields. This is our largest Trauma ER and General Medical Facility and it is specially designed for handling remote oil field trauma accidents and a facility to keep oil field workers healthy and on the job. This facility is also a good solution for both natural disaster response and for military medical applications.

The Mobile Trauma center is located inside this mobile medical facility.  It is able to handle patients, who are in need of immediate medical care, as a result of trauma or other life-threatening conditions. This facility is only designed to get the patient stable before the patient is transferred to surgery or intensive care.  Stabilizing a severely injured oil field worker, disaster casualty, or a military soldier is critical prior to transporting them to a hospital (either by land or air).  A fully stabilized patient has a much higher probability of making it to the hospital.

This Mobile Medical Unit is based on a heavy-duty, double expandable trailer chassis.  It has a waiting room, emergency/trauma room, emergency shower, nurses’ station, patient intensive care/recovery area, general medicine examination room, soiled utility room, and a clean utility room.  Optional Lavatory is available.

With this facility being mobile, it can easily be transported from one (1) oil field to the next.  It can be set up and struck by a crew of eight (8) people within eight (8) hours.

The results of most oil field accidents are oil contamination and injuries. Therefore, this facility is also outfitted with a decontamination shower to clean the injured employee prior to major medical treatment.  This shower is located inside the emergency entrance.  This allows for the prevention of the spread of the contamination to the rest of the medical facility.

Mobile Healthcare Facilities’ Mobile Triage Unit (24′)(7M) is specifically designed for rapid deployment in order to properly respond to a mass casualty incident.  There are many different types of mass casualty incidents.  In these emergencies, the number and severity of casualties overwhelm first responders.  These incidents include but are not limited to: 1) multiple vehicle collision; 2) building collapses, 3) mass transit accidents (airliner, train and bus collisions); 4) natural disasters (earthquakes, tornados, typhoons, hurricanes, tsunamis, and wild fires); 5) hazardous material releases (CO Emergencies, HAZMAT incidents, and Chemical Exposure); and 6) manmade disasters or combat action (Weapons of Mass Destruction, bombings, multiple shootings, combat action) and 7) other large-scale emergencies.

The nature of a mass casualty event suggests that the affected areas will not be a safe place to establish treatment areas. Hazards may include chemical, biological or radioactive contamination, unstable building components, secondary device threats, fire involving structures and/or vehicles, limited space, utility issues, etc. The location of the treatment areas will depend on these hazards and threats. If no additional hazard(s) exist, the treatment areas can be established at or near the scene.

Our Mobile Triage Unit can be established in any safe location where it will not interfere with other units arriving for incident control, but in a location as close to the incident scene as possible. This triage facility contains the emergency medical equipment required to perform the initial patient assessment. This facility allows for the immediate treatment of each patient so they can be stabilized, and as soon as possible, be able to log and triage tag them with known history, vital signs, assessments, interventions etc.

This Mobile Triage Trailer is expertly engineered to be highly durable and rugged so it can rapidly deploy to a mass casualty incident site.  This trailer has a steel frame with all aluminum superstructures.  The size of the trailer is 24’ X 8.5’ X 7’ (7M X 2.5M X 2M).  This trailer has three (3) ramp doors.  The roadside and curbside doors have two (2) 600-ft2 (17M2) soft walled shelters attached to it. These soft walled shelters provide a conditioned environment in order to triage casualty patients and perform immediate first aid in order to stabilize the victims.

This unit has its own generator to provide power for lights and other critical medical equipment.  Access to the generator area and additional storage is through the rear ramp door. This trailer is capable of traversing difficult terrain while responding to a mass casualty event in both remote and urban areas.
